It's harvest time! My tomato plants have been working overtime. Last week I canned a batch of salsa. The week before that, I froze a bunch of pasta sauce, and this week I'm canning crushed tomatoes. I've even taken time out to eat some fresh. (There's a BLT in my immediate future.) With all this domesticity going on, I've been inspired to write up a few of my favorite recipes and publish them on Medium.
Here are the links:

Fun fact: You can't copyright a recipe. That doesn't mean you can go to the Pioneer Woman website and lift her stuff verbatim and get away with it. The commentary that cooks include on their blogs and intersperse throughout the recipe is under copyright.
Speaking of plagiarism, yours truly recently became a victim. That's right, I'm proud to say that my writing is officially worth stealing. A website called ICHI.PRO has been stealing entire publications off Medium, removing the writers' names (ouch!), and translating and publishing it in multiple languages on its own site. Several of the publications for which I write are included. It's bad enough they're not paying me, but deleting my byline is unforgivable.
Many of the authors filed a complaint with ICHI.PRO's host server, and they took the site down. Now it's popped up again on another server. Some countries have no laws against this, so it's something we'll probably have to live with. Sigh!
My poem "Can You See the Light?" was published in an actual book! I got my copy the other day, and I'm thrilled. I'll have three more poems published in another anthology due out in April.
Here's a link to the book on Amazon. (I don't make any money off of it, so don't feel obligated to buy one.) It's also on Kindle, and, if you have Kindle Unlimited, it's free.
