Dear Inconstant Readers,
You might have noticed you haven’t heard from me lately. It’s been almost six months. I went through a bit of a slump, hadn’t been writing anything, and didn’t have much to share.
The platform I use most frequently, Medium, has been going through many changes, and most of the writers I know there (myself included) have experienced a downturn in readership and profits.
In February, I tried posting a story every single day on the theme of love to get some positivity out there. Unfortunately, after two years on Medium, it generated less income than my first month when I had no followers. It was discouraging.
On the plus side, I appeared in a musical. It was my first in a long time, and I had a blast. Here I am as Mama Murphy in Bright Star at the Pennsylvania Playhouse:
(The age makeup took ages, as you can imagine ;) )
I was able to climb out of my slump by entering some poetry contests, so I finally have some links to share. So please like, clap, share, and all that jazz. It helps, especially in tiebreakers. I’m also sharing an amazing story that happened to me that I know you’re going to love!
Thanks for hanging in there with me. I will try to be a better correspondent. But, as always, I appreciate your support. It means the world to me.
