November is proving to be an eventful month. As I've promised not to delve into politics here, I'll just say let's hope America's next chapter will be a calmer and happier one. As for what I've been up to with my writing, I've published some interesting stories on Medium. One of them, about the WWI spy Mata Hari, has gone viral! I've included links below.
There's been a change in the publication date of my three haikus set to appear in the Better Than Starbucks poetry journal. Instead of April, they will now be in the February 2021 issue.
Without deliberately trying, I'm finding that the stories I write over a certain period of time share a common theme. This is the case with the first three below. They all deal with women who were the victims of wartime politics. The next three links, in honor of Veterans Day, are stories about Josephine Baker (who was also a spy for the French Resistance in addition to her other claims to fame), Civil War phenom John Clem, and brave dogs who served. I hope you enjoy them.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and stay safe. Thanks for reading.
